Microsoft 365 Copilot in practice: from first prompts to time-saving routines
A hands-on workshop on using Copilot in everyday Microsoft 365 work — from emails and documents to meetings.
Why this seminar matters
AI assistants are now built into the tools many of us use every day. Used well, Microsoft 365 Copilot takes over routine work in emails, documents and meetings; used carelessly, it produces text nobody checks. This workshop is about the first kind.
What you will learn
- Write effective prompts for everyday tasks
- Use Copilot in Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams
- Check and refine AI output responsibly
- Build time-saving routines
The seminar programme
The seminar is built around four modules. Each one combines a short input with practical exercises, so you apply what you learn straight away.
Write effective prompts for everyday tasks
You learn how to give Copilot context, a goal and a format, and how to refine results step by step — with prompts you can reuse in your daily work.
Use Copilot in Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams
Hands-on exercises in each application: drafting and summarising documents, answering emails, analysing tables and following up on meetings.
Check and refine AI output responsibly
We look at typical errors, data protection and confidentiality in Microsoft 365, and simple checks before anything AI-generated leaves your desk.
Build time-saving routines
You identify the recurring tasks where Copilot helps you most and build a small personal library of prompts and workflows.
How we work
The workshop is held in German and is practical from the first hour: you work on realistic office tasks with live demonstrations and guided exercises. A Microsoft 365 licence with Copilot is helpful but not required for every exercise.
What you take home
- A personal prompt library for your typical tasks
- A checklist for reviewing AI output
- Ready-made workflows for email, documents and meetings
- Notes on data protection in Microsoft 365
Who it is for
Office and administrative staff and team leads. No prior knowledge is needed — we start from your own questions and cases.

Try this before the seminar
Ask Copilot to summarise a long email thread and list the open questions. Then check the list against the thread — it is the fastest way to learn what the tool does well, and where you still need to look yourself.
