Together with EMOTiC

One programme, two organisations

We organise volunteering together with EMOTiC, a non-profit youth organisation in Vienna that shares our office at Rauhensteingasse 7/18.

How it works

You become a member of EMOTiC free of charge and sign your volunteering agreement with EMOTiC. You volunteer in our shared office and at events across Vienna, side by side with the ACCELERAS and EMOTiC teams.

Volunteering is unpaid and never replaces the work of paid staff. In return you gain practical experience in community work and event organisation, new friends and a real boost for your next steps.

About EMOTiC

EMOTiC is a Vienna youth organisation for training and international consulting, with EU-funded projects for young people.

What you do

Workshops, debates and game nights

These are the activities volunteers help to plan, promote and run for young people in Vienna.

Workshops

Hands-on sessions on topics young people care about, with methods such as simulations, games and role-play.

Debates

Structured discussions where young people practise arguing, listening and finding common ground.

Game nights

Relaxed evenings with board and card games, where newcomers get to know the community.

MUN and MEP simulations

Every week the team runs a Model United Nations or Model European Parliament session of four hours or more. You are trained to chair MUN committees and to lead MEP sessions.

Your role

  • Promote events, recruit participants and answer their questions
  • Support the facilitators with the logistics before and during each activity
  • Create posts and reels and keep social media active
  • Chair the weekly MUN and MEP simulations and bring in external participants
  • Run an initiative of your own with the support of the team

Your responsibilities

  • Give at least 10 hours a week, on a schedule agreed with the team
  • Join team meetings and share updates on your tasks
  • Be reliable, meet deadlines and communicate openly
  • Take part in the weekly MUN or MEP session and rotate through the roles
