DUAL.AI.TEACHer

AI-Powered Teaching and AI Education for Future-Proof Education

About the project

DUAL.AI.TEACHer builds teachers’ competence in two directions at once: using AI to teach better, and teaching AI itself as a subject — so schools and universities prepare learners for an AI-shaped world.

Through teacher academies, mobility and classroom pilots, the project develops a certification pathway for AI teaching and works with policymakers to bring AI education into formal teacher training.

ACCELERAS conceived and developed DUAL.AI.TEACHer, starting from a local workshop where teachers shared their questions and concerns about AI. Today it is a €1.9 million Erasmus+ Teacher Academy with 11 partner organisations in 8 countries — from a regional ministry of education and education directorates to universities, schools and EdTech actors.

Objectives

  1. 01Build educators’ skills to use AI in teaching and to teach AI as a subject
  2. 02Enable cross-border exchange through teacher mobility, workshops and academies
  3. 03Develop a validated, scalable certification system for AI teaching
  4. 04Widen access to AI training and resources in underrepresented regions
  5. 05Engage policymakers to embed AI education in formal teacher training
